The Say Do Gap – from Sahil Bloom

if an outside observer watched you for a week, how serious would they say you are about achieving your goals? There are two types of priorites in life: the priorities you have, and the priorities your actions show you have.

I call the gap between the two the Say Do Gap. For most of us, it’s significant. The reality of our days belies the ambition of our years.

Don’t tell me your priorities. Show me. The answer is found in the action.

The Person you want to become – from James Clear

Improvements are only temporary until they become part of who you are.

The goal is not to read a book, the goal is to become a reader.

The goal is not to run a marathon, the goal is to become a runner.

The goal is not to learn an instrument, the goal is to become a musician.

Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become. No single instance will transform your beliefs, but as the votes build up, so does the evidence your new identity.

This year, focus on the identity you want to build. Decide the type of person you want to be. Prove it to yourself with small wins.”
