I would add: setting the example and knowing your people. People want to be known for who they are....then I would add - set them loose in alignment with their strengths...and lastly I would add - delegate. True leaders delegate so that their people can grow.

It's all about others in leadership.

My thoughts on one of the comments. Inspiring people to do doesn’t necessarily mean that is a good thing. Most people that are living a different lifestyle were inspired to do it because they don’t want to be told what to do.

Sometime people need to be told the truth in an inspirational way so they can see the problem and want to know a solution. If everything has to be done by inspiring people, it is going to be hard because everyone has different feelings and are not inspired by the same things.

Be careful when thinking that telling people what to do is out. I think it would be better said that a good leader can still tell them what to do, just do it in a respectful way and be willing to do it with them. The greatest leadership trait to me is to lead by example.

I didn't really understand the placement of the last one. It stuck out like a sore thumb to me either because,
1. It seems less about how you treat others than the rest of the examples.
2. It was supposed to stick out to me.
3. I didn't understand what it meant.
I google'd "season of calling". I got a site on how to call deer in season.
