Great article. I REALLY appreciate your take/posture on the dearth of interns.

Question: is it possible that they are interning somewhere else? Is it possible they aren't entrepreneur-like, that instead they don't think the circles we run in have anything to offer so they are going somewhere else like:
 - Christian business leaders/owners
 - Spiritual directors
 - overseas
 - 3-month to 2-year monastic scenarios

I know for me, I go through seasons of thinking I'm seeing the U.S. clearly and then not seeing past my desk clearly. I'm in the later right now, so I'm coming at this from a "perhaps we don't think we are seeing as much as we think we are" perspective. Plus, I've come across (anecdotally, no actual research here) quite a few who are 'interning' in the above ways -- much more in the last few years.
