What Have You Done for Me Lately

in Misc. 8 Comments

Ooooo-ooooo-oooooo-yeah!!! (Don’t act like you weren’t humming to the Janet Jackson classic from the nineties….

Actually the question is “what have I done for you lately?” If this blog is about trying to create conversations, and maybe in some way create some elements of community, I wanted to throw that question out there to you. How can I help you?

Now if your response is “let me speak at Catalyst,” well I’m not sure that is a realistic expectation! But, seriously, let me know how I might be able to assist you. You can email me or respond here.

  1. hey Brad, I’ve been lurking on your blog for a while. I would love to see some of your thoughts from inside the Catalyst team. Not necessarily the “inside scoop” but just some thoughts on your creative process.

Thanks for the work ya’ll are doing up in ATL.

    Brad,

Something that I’m interested in learning from you is basic principles of event planning/management/leading.

All church leaders do this. Not on the scale of Catalyst, but much of what we do is about events. From planning/leading meetings, parent seminars, youth events, camps, retreats, outreach events, etc.

Maybe you could shed some light on some principles that have helped you in this arena?

Since we’re wrapping in blog post titles…
How about starting the next blog post with:

    “I Wanna New Drug”

….One that wont make me sick
….One that wont make me crash my car
….Or make me feel three feet thick

Then wrap it into what new things churches or innovators are doing to create what is next…

I digress with a little Huey Lewis and The News. Sorry.

Personally for me what you can do is what you are already doing. Sharing tips and insights into the world of Catalyst but also expanding more on the life and leadership thoughts as seen through the perspective of you. Lessons you are learning from the leaders you meet. Lessons from maybe some of the not so well known church leaders that you guys are talking to. Lessons you’ve learned just in your time with Catalyst and building a brand + movement.

  4. hey man, haven’t check in in a while… i have a thought.
We are launching a brand new project here in Tampa… and it has already hit the ground running. Its built on the same concept as our Art Event CANVAS (http://canvas813.com) and it is Called MOTION.

This festival of short films is a way for us to invest in the community of inspiration, and is NOT a christian film festival… but is run by christians who like film… and more importantly what to bring light, hope, joy to our city.

If you get time… i could use an outside opinion… maybe some of the wisdom you have locked away somewhere… and at the same time Check in with you bro.

    Hope this finds you well…
